This adults-only Megatrip for guests ages 21 years and older lets you experience the best of this unique and charming city, known as “The Big Easy,” starting with a behind-the-scenes look at the art of float-making. At Mardi Gras World, you’ll get a close-up look at the elaborate floats and colorful props used in world-renowned Mardi Gras parades. Afterward, you can put your creativity to work and team up with your fellow DreamTrippers to design and decorate a Mardi Gras-inspired mini-float.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! At Riverview Room — located on the 4-level of the Jackson Brewery Millhouse — you’ll take a private cooking class presented by New Orleans School of Cooking. Learn how to make some regional favorites, then team up again for a little friendly competition. Make use of recipes, ingredients and guidance given throughout the class to create your team dish. The team with the most delicious dish will win a prize of exclusive DreamTrips merchandise — but everyone will go home a winner with a New Orleans School of Cooking apron as a souvenir!

Want to do some sightseeing while you’re here? From your hotel on Canal Street, it’s super easy to get to several attractions such as Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, which features more than 75 retailers. Want to venture further afield? Just hop on one of the Canal Streetcars — you’ll find a stop right outside your hotel — to see parks and museums (green line) or historic cemeteries (red line).

Check into the hotel at any time after 4 p.m.

Day 2

10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Buffet welcome brunch.
12:30-4:30 p.m.: Half-day Mardi Gras World experience; includes a tour and float-building activity, drinks, snacks and transportation and gratuities.
• 12:30 p.m.: Depart from the hotel and transfer to Mardi Gras World.
• 1-4 p.m.: Tour the float-building warehouse at Mardi Gras World and team up to participate in a hands-on workshop to build a mini-float.
• 2-4 p.m.: Enjoy appetizers and beverages (beer, wine or soda).
• 4:30 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
The rest of the day and evening at your leisure.

Day 3

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 91 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a refund of the amount you paid for the trip less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are applicable on a per-person basis.

*This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations in applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. Therefore, in the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the provisions of the booking terms will prevail.

Name Change Policy: Name changes must be done no later than July 22 and are subject to a US$50 name change fee. Name changes after this date are not allowed.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

Hotel/resort credits and/or discounts cannot be converted to cash, and any not used during your stay will expire immediately upon your departure. Member is responsible for paying any taxes that may be added to items purchased with hotel/resort credit.

Each individual, including each child, who is coming along with you on your DreamTrip is required to have a booking prior to the commencement of the trip. If you do not book and pay for each such person in advance of the trip, you will be charged the hotel’s then-current rate, not the trip price, for each such person at the time of your check-in.

Pricing for children is based on their age at the time of travel and may be subject to additional terms and conditions of individual hotels and all-inclusive resorts.
