Water Park Fun in the Nashville Sun

Stay & play at a fun, family-friendly resort featuring a massive water park & customize your own tour of Nashville.

About Your Trip

Get ready for family-friendly fun in the sun in Music City at the Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center’s innovative water park Soundwaves™. Sprawling out across 4 acres (1.62 hectares), it comprises 111,000 square feet (10,312 square meters) of indoor and 106,000 square feet (9,848 square meters) of outdoor water activities — body slides, 2 rivers, an activity pool, surfing, a wave pool and much more!

After you’ve dried off, take advantage of your ticket for the Hop-on, Hop-off Old Town Trolley Tour of Nashville. You can choose from any of the 15 unforgettable stops that catch your interest along the way or ride the entire loop (around 1 hour and 40 minutes) — get ready to see Nashville your way!

In your leisure time, why not hit a round of golf balls at the on-site practice range or pamper yourself at the spa? If you want to venture away from the resort, head to the renowned Grand Ole Opry® House, where the world’s most beloved and longest-running live country music radio show is still performed.

What we love:
• In addition to its indoor-outdoor water park, Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center boasts enormous glass-roofed atriums housing numerous shopping and dining options, an indoor riverboat garden cruise, golf course and more.
•Hot chicken, a Nashville culinary touchstone, was originally concocted as a revenge dish for a cheating boyfriend. The plan went awry and resulted in a renowned local favorite.
•Home of the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville has showcased generations of country music artists — it’s the place to be if you’re a music lover.

Nashville is a big city with small-town Southern charm. Remains of the antebellum United States can be found in stately plantations, inviting you to peer into the country’s past. Sweet tea and fried chicken are embedded in the heritage of the South, but the city’s fruit tea and “hot chicken” put a local twist on these 2 Southern staples.

Nashville’s storied musical past makes it country music’s mecca, earning it the moniker of “Music City U.S.A.” The sounds of the Grand Ole Opry (just minutes from the Gaylord Opryland Resort), the tastes of The Loveless Cafe and the sights of Centennial Park will make memories of Nashville that are sure to stay with you forever.
